ALL ABOUT HYBERLOOP TECHNOLOGY.

Elon Musk’s vision of a futuristic transportation system of magnetically levitating pods traveling through nearly airless tubes at speeds of up to 760 mph (1,223 km/h) a reality.

What is HYBERLOOP?

Hyperloop is an ultra-high-speed ground transportation system for passenger and cargo proposed as a concept by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, in a white paper back in 2013. It consists of partially evacuated tubes and passenger or cargo pods moving at very high speeds.

How does it work?

With hyperloop, vehicles, called pods, accelerate gradually via electric propulsion through a low-pressure tube. The pod floats along the track using magnetic levitation and glides at airline speeds for long distances due to ultra-low aerodynamic drag.

Is HYBERLOOP safe for humans?

The system is designed to be inherently safer than other modes,” she explains. “It’s operating autonomously in an enclosed tube, so it’s not susceptible to weather, to accidents at grade crossings or a cow on the track. It’s not susceptible to human error or power outages
